 Subject:     Activity Report– 04/30/12

 Management:

1.     Congratulations to everyone involved with the Walgreen’s Charity Classic 2012 Legend’s Tournament.  What a huge success!  The compliments and the other positive comments continue to come in.  Thank you to staff, all our volunteers, event sponsors, LPGA Legends representatives, the ladies of the Legends Tour and everyone who took the time to buy a ticket and come out and support this event.  What a great Team effort!

2.     The General Manager met with officers of the Pickleball and Racquet Clubs to explore a compromise plan regarding the Palm Ridge Tennis courts.  Mr. Whiting requested that the clubs consider supporting a plan to pour post tension concrete over the existing three tennis courts, that one of the courts be converted to four pickleball courts and the remaining two courts be retained for tennis.  The Clubs will seek approval of their members and submit minutes of their meetings before the May 11th Governing Board Workshop.

  1. richard andress says:

remember if you book on golf now you have to pay a booking fee. which i think is 3.00 or 4.00 per person.

  2. Hi Mr. Yun. Through our agreement with Golf Now, we give them one tee time per day per course, and they can sell it for whatever they can get for it. That’s our fee to Golf Now for them selling tee times for us. All other tee times sold through Golf Now are at our outside play rate, which is higher than the resident rate. For those who want to wait around for the hot deals and hope they get them at the course and time they want, then yes, they can luck out and get a better rate. But they cannot guarantee they will get the time and date and course they want, especially during the lucky season. The only way for us to prevent those hot deals is to discontinue our relationship with Golf Now, which does not seem fiscally responsible. We’ve already made more than $11,000 since mid-April from this relationship, with no out of pocket costs other than those trade times.

  3. Alex Yun says:

Finally, on-line booking “Golf-Now” is available for non residents.
Ever since RCSCW decided outside play, I had repeatedly suggested this for some time.
Well done. But price doesn’t make sense. For example, if I book thru RCSCW to play golf at Trailridge at 11:22am, May 6, I have to pay $22.00 ($18.00 plus $4.00 for a cart) and my friend has to pay $25.50($21.00 plus $4.50 for a cart).
But he can book for me directly thru Golf-Now, and he and I pay only $20.00/including cart for each of us plus nominal booking fee $2.00. IT COSTS LESS THIS WAY.

IF YOU WANT TO PLAY GOLF WITH YOUR FRIENDS HERE IN SCW, YOU SHOULD NOT BOOK THRU RCSCW BUT RATHER HAVE YOUR NON-RESIDENT FRIENDS BOOK FOR YOU THRU GOLF-NOW(tee time hot deals) IN ORDER TO PLAY AT YOUR OWN SCW COURSES.
    DOES THAT MAKE SENSE ?

In fact, I was going to book thru RCSCW 1:00 pm tee time at Pebblebrook tomorrow, May 5, for two of us as well as two non-resident friends, at $20.00 for us and $22.50 for them, each person including cart, but I found they can book directly with Golf-Now at $19.00/each person including cart, booking fee, and tax. So, they booked the tee time for us thru Golf-Now.
I couldn’t explain to them why my booking with my RCSCW is higher that their booking with Golf-Now.com. WHY?
