Update your Emergency Contact information
We all know about Murphy’s Law, right? If something can go wrong, it probably will? Well, even the optimists among us know that at some point or another, something bad is bound to happen. Let’s just hope it doesn’t happen to your house while you’re away for the summer!
That’s right – summer can be a great time to get away and enjoy a vacation. But it’s also monsoon season, which means seasonal weather can wreak havoc on your house. That’s why the Rec Centers and the Posse encourage you to make sure the Rec Centers has your emergency contact information. If you have a leaking roof or downed tree or worse, we want to be able to get a hold of you.
Even if you’re not leaving town for the summer, it’s a good idea to make sure your information is updated. We’ve had medical emergencies where a resident is unresponsive and we need to get hold of a spouse or next of kin. Unfortunately, we sometimes have no information or outdated phone numbers. It’s not fun to think about preparing for emergencies, but it’s worse to be caught unprepared.
It doesn’t take long to get us your updated information. Just stop by Member Services between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays and talk to a Membership representative. Or print the form at the bottom of this page, fill it out and mail it to us at: RCSCW, Attn: Member Services, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375. You may also call us at 623-544-6100; or send us an email at membership@rcscw.com.
We appreciate your help in getting us updated information so the Rec Centers and the Posse can help you in an emergency!

Hi Mr. Curley. Our reference to “mail” was a typo. Sorry about that. We meant email and we certainly agree it’s a great way to get us information, including updates to your emergency information. Many people have already taken us up on this request via email, and we encourage others to do the same. Residents who are not sure what info we have on file for them, are encouraged to send it along just in case, and we’ll double check. Many of you first signed up in Membership when you moved here and didn’t yet have a local telephone number. And in many cases you never came back to update it. You’d be surprised how many people we don’t have local phone numbers for in case of an emergency. The email address you can send your updates to is: membership@rcscw.com. Please include your name, rec card number, address, emergency contact NOT residing with you, and their phone number and relationship to you. Thank you!
I read Mr. Metzger’s post and he did NOT mention giving information by “mail” – he said “EMAIL” and it is a great idea.
The Board may not be aware, as they have a lot of projects and things to do, but there are a lot of us who do a lot of “mail” etc by EMAIL. It is using your computer. a software program and the Internet.
Hi Mr. Metzger. You asked about giving us your emergency contact info by mail. Absolutely! The post mentions that you can send your emergency info (or updates to your mailing address or phone number) to membership@rcscw.com. Please be sure to include your name, rec card number, address, emergency contact NOT residing with you, and their phone number and relationship to you. Thanks!
Considering that ~80 % of us have email, how about giving us the opportunity to give you this info in a way which is consistent with today’s world.
I have no problem giving you this info but I won’t make a special trip to the offices and probably wait to do it.
