Vivian was born in Cambridge, England, and moved to the United States in 1982. She lived in Denver, the Philippines, California and Scottsdale before moving to Sun City West in July 2014.
She has a business degree from Cambridge Technical College in England, and graduated from Impington High School, also in Cambridge.
Vivien was a surgical dental nurse from 1978 to 1980 at the Martin Pheland Dentistry in Cambridge. She also worked as a legal assistant at the Law Society of Cambridge from 1981 to 1982.
She worked as a paralegal/legal assistant from 1984 to 1991 at Auer and Amatuzio in Denver. Her job included investigating facts of a case; conducting research on relevant laws, regulations and legal articles; organizing and maintaining documents in paper or electronic filing systems; gathering and arranging evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation; writing reports to help lawyers prepare for trails; preparing case briefs and summarizing depositions, interrogatories and testimony; getting affidavits and other formal statements that might be used as evidence in court; helping lawyers during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes and reviewing trial transcripts; filing exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the courts or opposing counsel; calling clients, witnesses, lawyers and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings and depositions; handling communications with clients, witnesses, etc.; maintaining contact lists; monitoring deadlines and juggling calendars.
Vivien was a teacher’s aide at Hunters Glen/Skyview Elementary in Thornton, Colo., from 1992 to 1998.
From 2008 to 2010, she was an administrative assistant at InPlay Technologies in Scottsdale.
Her volunteer work experience from 1998 to 2000 while in the Philippines included serving with the American Embassy Ladies Club in Manila; being a veterinary assistant in Ayala Alabang; and serving at the Ayala Alabang Orphanage.
She was involved at the Tatum Ranch Golf Club in Cave Creek, including serving as the Ladies League’s tournament organizer, vice president and president. She also was on the Tatum Ranch Golf Club Advisory Board.
