Keeping your balance and fall prevention

KEEPING YOUR BALANCE AND PREVENTING FALLS, 3 pm to 5 pm, Tuesday, August 29, Palm Ridge Recreation Center, Acacia Room. (This is a free class) Our ability to maintain balance requires the interaction of several body systems and is very important for fall prevention. Learn how to improve your balance using exercise-based approaches, find ways to decrease the risk of falling in your home and surroundings and how to increase your mobility, well-being and physical safety. Instructor Rhonda Zonoozi is an Exercise Physiologist and Health Coach and develops, implements, and evaluates a wide range of health-promotion activities and educational programs for groups and individuals at the Sun Health Center for Health or Wellbeing. Rhonda earned her BS in health management from Friends University. She is a certified exercise physiologist, a certified physical activity in public health specialist, a Matter of Balance master trainer, a Well Coaches certified health & wellness coach, a certified ergonomic assessment specialist II and a tobacco treatment specialist.
