WORK DESCRIPTION: Works under the supervision of the Golf Course Manager. Starters are responsible for the productive operation of the Pro ship, management of the Tee sheet and other related tasks as assigned by the Golf Course Manager.
WORK ACTIVITIES:
• Excellent ‘4 Star’ customer service is mandatory.
• Ability to multi-task (running first tee, checking in golfers and selling merchandise, etc.,)
• Tee sheet knowledge in creating and understanding different formats, (single tee, double tee and shotgun starts).
• Booking/Editing tee times at the Point of Sale computer utilizing TE! Software.
• Checks in golfers/sells products by handling different forms of payment.
• Assigns and announces tee times for customers on public address system.
• Keeps accurate accounting of cash throughout the day.
• Keeps work area and Pro Shop clean and organized.
• Keeps a daily log of range ball machine cash and usage.
• Anticipates rental cart needs and states fleet in designated area
• Ensures proper stock levels of merchandise available to sell in Pro Shop.
• Collects range baskets and places/removes special signage when required.
• Opens/Closes Pro Shop as assigned.
• Creates deposits to bank and ensure proper cash levels for next days’ business. Reconciles business at the close of each day.
• Enforces RCSCW policies regarding usage, dress code and conduct at the facility.
• Fill out Incident reports when required and informs Management.
• Works hand-in-hand with PA’s in communicating pace-of-play and special course conditions.
EXPERIENCE: Golf knowledge is a must. Computer navigation knowledge and accurate data entry in utilizing Microsoft Office is highly recommended. Demonstrates good verbal communication skills for interactions with a variety of people.
SALARY: $10.00 hr JOB CODE: OEM-12 EOE Open until filled.
