REPAIRING BALL MARKS ON THE GREEN

Hello Golfers!

As we have entered into the spring and summer months, please help us to properly maintain the courses.  One tip is to make sure your sand bottles are full to fill divots in both the fairways and the rough.  Sand is available at all the golf courses.

Thanks for sanding your divots and repairing your ball marks.  It’s golfers like you who are doing their part that helps in keeping the RCSCW courses stay in great playing conditions.  None of us like for our balls to land in a divot in the middle of the fairway or have to putt over bumpy greens.

Do you know:  a fresh ball mark repaired by a player takes 5 seconds.  If repaired immediately, the ball mark will heal in 24 hours.  A fresh ball mark left unrepaired for only 1 hour requires fifteen days to heal.  So please look for your ball marks and get them repaired sooner rather than later.

HERE is a short USGA video on how to properly repair a ball mark on the green.

We’ll keep you posted on the next special event.

Enjoy your summer and golf at our great courses here in Sun City West.
